Discussion Topic for Our Second Meeting

In just a few short weeks, we’ll gather for Salem Tribe’s second monthly meeting – held again at The Ike Box in downtown Salem on Monday, November 2 at 6:30pm. We’ve asked Jason Harris, writer and technology guru, to talk about making life online a little bit easier.

Don’t Have Enough Time to ‘Surf” the Web?
Saving Time With RSS

Description: Social media (whether you’re getting in to Twitter, online news or blogs) can be very intimidating. It takes a lot of time to stay up to date with everything, but there is help. RSS, in non-geek speak, is Really Simple Syndication. When used correctly, it makes staying up to date very easy and fast. RSS lets you stay on top of the sites and information *you* care about. In this talk, Jason will discuss what RSS is and how you can easily employ this well-used functionality to make your web-life easier to manage.
